Collection: Macon & Lesquoy

Macon & Lesquoy is a French brand of embroidered accessories, created in 2009 by designers Marie Macon and Anne-Laure Lesquoy who, after several years working together on other projects, decided to create their own language.

The brand's story began in a very simple way: with the desire to hide a cigarette burn and, more than that, to repair a cherished piece of clothing. Through encounters with various embroiderers, Marie and Anne-Laure began to transform embroidery into fashion accessories designed and manufactured like small jewels — precious, unexpected, and with a good dose of humor.

Today, Macon&Lesquoy employs different embroidery techniques and works with artisans in various parts of the world. Hand embroidery in cannetille is done in Pakistan, machine embroidery in Portugal, and needlework in Rwanda. In Granville, Normandy, is the workshop where stitching is done and small series and prototypes are developed.

Their creations blend elegance, detail, fantasy, and humor. They are small objects that can transform a simple piece of clothing and give it a completely different personality. The brand itself states that it wants to create useful things that become precious — an idea that has been present since the beginning of its history.

Why I chose M&L for Bah Oui

Because I like the idea of transforming a detail into a special piece, of adding humor to an outfit, and of using the beauty of embroidery in an unexpected way. They are small pieces, but with enormous personality.

And I particularly like that these are accessories we can choose simply because they make us smile — or because they say something about the person wearing them.

At Bah Oui, I choose designs that awaken something in me, that I find beautiful, fun, or unexpected, and that I can imagine coming to life on each person's clothing. Interestingly, the first time I saw an M&L piece was in the Laulhère brand showroom, and it was Julie who introduced me to the brand. There were four French classics displayed to be placed on berets: cheese, the baguette, the Eiffel Tower, and the heart. I can't resist, with this brand, bringing almost all of them. They are incredible.
