Opening Day

October 18, 2018. The day Bah Oui stopped being just an idea of mine and became a place where other people could also enter.
Close family, my mother nearby, my father serving sparkling wine, with that serious look of someone who takes even small gestures seriously. Pedro, the love of my life, who gave me the courage to embark on this adventure so different from my field of study, architecture, and it's partly thanks to him that I never stopped being sure it wasn't a mistake. Ballet colleagues, lifelong friends, friends of friends who later became my clients and friends too. Some people who already followed the store's page even before it opened. And there were curious people — those from the street, those who peeked into the shop window and came in just to see what it was about.
It was a full night, in the good sense of the word: full of people, full of hugs, full of the festive adventure energy that you only feel once, when you truly open a door for the first time.
All the photos from that party — like practically all the photos from these years of Bah Oui — are by Vitorino Coragem. Without him, much of this story would have remained only in memory. With him, it is also preserved in image, so I can revisit it whenever I want.
It was just the beginning of a beautiful adventure.
